Miðvikudagskvöldið 14. janúar stóð Cavalierdeildin fyrir pálínuboði í húsnæði HRFÍ og var tilefnið heiðrun sýningaársins 2025. Veitt voru verðlaun fyrir þrjá stigahæstu hunda ársins, stigahæsta ungliða, stigahæsta öldung og þrjá stigahæstu ræktendur. Dýrabær gaf gjafapoka.

Judges Profile
We got our first cavalier back in 1987, infact we got two to join us. We started showing back in 1987 and never really looked back since.
We have been very lucky to have breed some of the top winning cavaliers not only in England, but also in USA, where our dogs have contributed to many winning offspring. We have had Top breeders awards, top puppy awards and top stud dog awards on the dogs we have breed over the years, and Champions in many countries, has of today we have made up 24 Cavalier Champions in the UK, with many over seas champions.
I started my judging career over 25 years ago, and been very lucky to have judged in many countries worldwide, all over Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand and have judged the two biggest shows in England, our CKCS Club Parent club show and Crufts in 2025.
I was very much involved in Discover dogs for many years and served on the CKCS Club committee. Having been involved and had dogs most my childhood life I would not want it any other way.

I would like to thank the club committee for inviting me to judge your show. My name is Viera Stloukalová, I live in Slovakia with my husband, our cavaliers and Bohemian shepherd dog (chodský pes). Last year I celebrated my 40 th anniversary of life with Cavaliers.
My first cavalier was a tricolour boy born in 1985. He was one of very first cavaliers in our country, loved by whole our family. He was so charming and enchanting that this breed captivated my hearth for rest of my life.
The first litter in our kennel (the Lemna Minor kennel) was born in 1998. Among the most successful puppies raised by us were Blenheim twins born in 2000 and from more recent time Tricolour brothers born in 2019 who became multiple champions and International champions. Among the greatest success of our breeding, I consider a long-lived and healthy offsprings, dozen of the Club winner titles as well as the success at the Crufts 2024, where our boy has placed third in the Open Class.
We live with cavaliers of all four colours and our Chodský pes in Scandinavian log house built in a green belt at outskirt of Bratislava City, the capital city of Slovakia, just 300 metres away from border of Austria.
In the Slovak Cavalier and King Charles Spaniel club, I act as the president and the breeding advisor. I am the FCI international dog show judge since 2006. Recently I am the judge for whole FCI Group IX and some breeds from FCI Group VIII (English and American Cocker Spaniel, English and Welsh Springer Spaniel, Labrador retriever, Flat coated retriever, German Spaniel).
Except of dog shows held in Slovakia, I had pleasure to judge International and Club shows in Czech Republic, Denmark, Poland, Finland and UK. I really appreciate the honour to judge the Cavalier club show in Iceland and looking forward to meet you in April.

Winter Wonderland & Ísland Winner sýning, þar sem gefin voru Norðurlandameistarastig og Crufts qualification, fór fram helgina 29.-30. nóvember en cavalier var sýndur á sunnudeginum. Dómari var Sara Nordin frá Svíþjóð sem sjálf er ræktandi í tegundinni. Meiriháttar skráning var hjá okkur eða samtals 61 hundur, þó einhver forföll hafi orðið. Þrír ræktunarhópar voru einnig sýndir. Vonandi heldur deildin áfram að fjölmenna svona á sýningar næsta árs. Dýrabær sem er okkar trausti styrktaraðili gaf verðlaunabikara eins og áður.
Besti hundur tegundar og einnig 4. besti hundur í tegundahópi 9 var C.I.B. NORDICCh ISCh ISJCh RW-24-25 VOLW-25 ISW-23-24 Bonitos Companeros Mr. Spock. Best af gagnstæðu kyni með íslenskt og Norðurlandameistarastig var Snjallar Silfraða Sylgja. Bæði fá þau titilinn Ísland Winner ‘25 og Crufts qualification. Íslenska rakkameistarastigið gekk niður til ISJCh VOLJW-25 Bonitos Companeros Jailbreak og Norðurlandameistarstigið til C.I.B. C.I.B.-J NOCh DKCh SECh ISCh Pecassa’s Mister Power Of Sprudle, sem verður þar með Norðurlandameistari.
Besti ungliði tegundar var ISJCh VOLJW-25 Bonitos Companeros Jailbreak og besta ungliðatík ISJCh Hafnarfjalls Elsu Emma. Bæði með Norðurlanda-ungliðameistarastig, titilinn ISJW-25 og Crufts qualification. Bonitos Companeros Jailbreak var að fá sitt annað Norðurlandastig og verður því Norðurlanda-ungliðameistari. Hann varð einnig í 4. sæti í keppni um besta ungliða tegundahóps 9.
Besti ræktunarhópur tegundar var frá Hafnarfjalls ræktun. Nánari úrslit má sjá hér að neðan:
